Bayco Builds Custom Industrial Floorless Curing Oven
A curing oven needs to accommodate both the parts being processed and the facility where it operates. Bayco Ovens recently completed a custom industrial curing oven with a spacious working envelope, a floorless design, and a modified equipment layout to meet the project’s installation requirements.
Floorless Design and a Spacious Interior
The oven is designed to sit directly on the facility’s concrete floor, without an integrated oven floor.
Its dimensions are:
Specification | Width | Depth | Height |
Working envelope | 120″ | 172″ | 99″ |
Internal dimensions | 138″ | 180″ | 129″ |
The working envelope defines the space available for the load being processed. This is an important consideration when planning an industrial curing oven: parts and their supporting fixtures must fit within the usable processing area.
A Layout Configured for the Installation
This build features a mirrored configuration, placing the utilities on the left side of the oven, with the burners positioned at the rear.
Utility connections and burner placement are important details when fitting an oven into a production facility. For this project, those elements were configured to suit the installation requirements.
Controls, Data Logging, and Alerts
The curing oven includes:
Ethernet-enabled data logging for recording process information.
A manual cycle timer for setting cycle timing.
A single-point controller for temperature control.
An alarm horn and light for audible and visual notification.
Together, these features provide the operator with controls, process records, and alerts to support the curing operation.
Planning a Custom Industrial Curing Oven
Working dimensions, floor configuration, equipment placement, and controls all influence how an oven fits into a facility’s production process.
This recent build illustrates how Bayco configures industrial curing ovens around individual project requirements. If you’re planning a curing oven, contact the Bayco team to discuss your parts, process, available space, and installation needs.
